<![CDATA[SMASH Photography - Blog]]>Mon, 13 May 2024 14:33:31 -0700Weebly<![CDATA[Summer Lovin']]>Sat, 04 May 2019 21:54:52 GMThttp://smash.rosha.biz/blog/summer-lovinWhen you think of summer what comes to your mind? When I think of summer the first three thing I think of hiking, baseball, and boating. When we were all kids, summer was the best thing to look forward to. Now as an adult it’s still is a huge thing that I look forward to. I plan out hikes, sneak away on the boat every chance I can get. I love that this time of the year always makes me feel like a kid at heart.

Hiking has slowly been becoming one of my favorite things to do. My favorite part of hiking is being able to go find hidden teasers that you can’t find while in the car. Some of these places are breath taking they make you stop and think about how incredible God is. How he made this amazing world we live in.

One of my all-time favorite hikes was a 6-mile hike in Marble, Colorado. This trail was traveled alongside of Crystal River. This trail was packed full of many incredible views. Many times, during this hike all I could do was stop and stare at the amazingness in front of me. This trail can also be traveled by 4-wheeling, even though this is capable I honestly prefer walking it no matter how bad my feet hurt after. I walked it once then we went back and 4-wheeled it. From both experiences I think walking was way better. While walking you are able to see and enjoy more of views that you can’t see as much from a car.

I can’t wait for this summer. We have many hikes planned and we can’t wait to share them with you!

What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Seeing how friends and family have grown and changed throughout the year is a special thing. As photographers we get the amazing opportunity to take these photos each year. We have met many amazing families and have gotten the opportunity to watch them grow.

This adorable family announced the pregnancy of their second child during this holiday shoot! We have been able to watch this family grow from two high school sweet hearts to a family of four. We are so excited for this couple and can’t wait to meet the newest addition to The Lowthian Family.

<![CDATA[Photoshoots with Dog]]>Thu, 12 Jul 2018 18:28:06 GMThttp://smash.rosha.biz/blog/photoshoots-with-dogDogs are like family to us. This being said many people want photos with their fur friends in it. To get this picture perfect and to show their crazy personality’s there are certain step that you can do to help us.

1. Let your dog get their energy out before the shoot
When you take your dogs out and about to parks, they tend to get hyper and crazy, if your dog is tired before the shoot starts they tend to listen better and cooperate during the shoot. Make sure you don’t tire them out too much or they will only want to sleep.
2.
Bring their favorite treats or toys
It always helps to bring little pieces of encouragement to get the pup to look at the camera and cooperate with the shoot. Having these items helps us bring the dogs attention to the camera so the pup is looking in the right direction. Plus, dogs can never have to many treats for being so cute!!
3. Be patient
Dogs have a mind of their own just like we do. Even with all these tricks to help, you never know what they are going to do. Sometime our furry friends need a break to run around during this shoot. That is ok for them to do, so be patient don’t get frustrated when they aren’t listening or following directions. We want this to be a fun shoot for both you and the pup so enjoy it.

We used these step to help with this amazing photoshoot!

<![CDATA[Family Clothing Photo Tips]]>Wed, 04 Jul 2018 03:40:23 GMThttp://smash.rosha.biz/blog/family-clothing-photo-tipsWant the perfect family photo? There are many things you can do that will help you and your family achieve this. The biggest thing is having the right clothing. Clothing is a very important part of every photoshoot!

Tip 1: Make sure you pick out clothes in advance, not the day of the shoot.
 • Don’t make yourself stress about what everybody is wearing right before your shoot. We want this to be a fun experience not a stressful one.

Tip 2: Have a backup outfit!
 • Having outfits for sunny warm days and rainy cold days is really important. Living in Colorado you never know what the weather will be like from one second to the next. So, be prepared in case the weather changes.

Tip 3: Coordinate
 • While you are planning your clothing make sure everybody coordinates. You don’t want everybody to completely match. Clothing is a huge part in showing somebody’s personality. A good key is to have everybody wear the same colors but in different outfits. For example, one person can be wearing a dress while the other wear jeans and a fun shirt. The boys can wear shorts and a long sleeve button up while the other wears jeans and short sleeve button up. Mix and match make it fun!

<![CDATA[Photography Session]]>Mon, 11 Dec 2017 01:37:35 GMThttp://smash.rosha.biz/blog/photography-session3547330Hi everyone!
We started our SMASH Photography business in 2016. We started by photographing families and sporting events. Eventually we got into engagements, newborns, and team photos. Our business is located in Littleton, Colorado, where Ashley grew up.

When it comes to sports photography, we are different than any normal photography company. We like to give our clients unique photos so we focus on dramatic lighting, non-traditional sports poses, different angles, etc.

During our portrait session we like to shoot on location that means something to you or your family. Our goal during the session is to capture amazing moments that last a lifetime. During our session we like to have enough time to capture these moment and capture as many pictures for you as possible.
